OUR TEAM
Scott Wentz, Founder
Scott has 28 years of homebuilding experience, and he is passionate about this industry being an answer to the needs our communities face. Builders Bridge came out of an idea that he wanted to create an opportunity for individuals coming out of prison to get a second change, and a shot at a career. His initial passion has developed into regionally recognized name that is employing the next generation in real jobs, right now, and no debt.
Jake Kennedy, Program & Partnership Manager
Jake is responsible for managing the operations at Builders Bridge while leveraging partner relationships to grow the vision of Builders Bridge. Jake creates momentum by showing up and speaking up for young people as their advocate for employment and opportunity.
As Programs Manager for Builders Bridge, Jake will work alongside schools, students, trades, organizations and foundations to execute the mission of Builders Bridge to bridge the gap in the homebuilding industry and the needs of the community.
Jake is an alumnus of Gardner-Webb University where he played collegiate golf and served as Student Body President in 2018. He currently lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Kate, and their son, Shepherd. He loves being outdoors and finding joy in activities with others.
